It’s been a long journey for our client. 3 years of struggle, tent encampment living, detox, recovery and unto sobriety. She gained the trust of our beloved Marie Cazeault Boutin who treated her with the love and compassion that defines MAE Organization For The Homeless. 3 years later, with the assistance of so many other amazing organizations, who helped us keep her at a hotel for the last couple of months, this day has finally arrived. Big thanks to Pawtucket Housing Authority, who filed her housing application- she moved into her very own apartment yesterday!
I want to give a big shout out to Congressman Jim Langevin’s office for working with me directly on this case and help it move along.
As with all things worth it in this lifetime, this was worth all of the hard work and many hours on the phone advocating for this client. We won’t stop here. She will have our support and receive our services to ensure that she can absolutely succeed in life.
Once we were given the keys, we went to our Mãe Center where she was able to get a good supply of food to get started. Today, Norm spent the day moving her and her beloved dog fully in, complete with furniture.
Every single person that supports us, has a direct impact on these stories. I also want to thank Kimberly Marion for her continued donations from her real-estate sales which go directly towards the deposits we assist with and- welcome PREMEER REAL ESTATE as a new housing partner."- Martinha Javid

1st FUNDRAISER OF 2021

MAE Organization For The Homeless in collaboration with Thirsty Beaver Cranston is held a fundraiser to benefit the victims of a Cranston apartment collapse which left 39 families displaced and staying at a hotel.
"We understand this is really short notice, but due to the nature of this tragedy we wanted to rise up and act quickly in support of our Cranston community, because they need our support now" - Martinha Javid, Founder

2nd FUNDRAISER OF 2021

MAE Organization for the Homeless primary fundraiser event for 2021 was a GALA. Funds raised will be even more impactful—after a year of our community dealing with COVID-19 many more people are now experiencing homelessness and facing the potential of being at risk of homelessness. Our cause is more important now than it ever has been before.
All funds raised in 2021 will be allocated to establish the Wellness Center we recently opened in Cranston, RI.
